Work easily with Final Cut Pro and Avid projects thanks to round-trip editing workflows and tight After Effects and Photoshop integration. Packed with hundreds of new features, Adobe CS5 Production Premium supercharges your productivity and offers the power to deliver engaging video experiences to screens everywhere.
AGENDA: Seminar will be held at 10AM and repeated at 2:15PM.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All video pros, filmmakers, HDSLR shooters, students, motion graphics/VFX artists.
INSTRUCTOR(S): Kevan O'Brien, Technical Evangelist, Dynamic Media, Adobe & crew
DURATION: 45 minutes
About Kevan O'Brien Kevan O’Brien has been involved with NLE and compositing technologies since the late 1980’s, when he was a mere seven years old, working on feature films and television graphics. During this time he has edited on and tech produced pipelines for award winning films, shorts and commercials. Kevan was fortunate enough to be working with Adobe during its radical rethink and launch of the Production Premium suite of tools that are now CS5. Adobe gave Kevan the opportunity to broaden his horizons where he helped NVIDIA publicise and promote the radical Quadro based Mercury Playback Engine (MPE) at the heart of Premiere Pro. When not scaring little dogs, playing with quicksilver (metal not the surf gear), Kevan can be found peddling his own brand of Snake Oil and hemorrhaging money on repairing broken dreams. Kevan has yet to make a million but well on the way to loosing it.

TITLE: Rodney Charters, ASC on Impact of HD-DSLR and Digital Tools in Cinema
DESCRIPTION:
Canon Explorer of Light & Hollywood Director, Rodney Charters, ASC will conduct a presentation and open forum discussion on the use and potential of HD SLR's. The workshop which will be moderated by Paul McAniff, Technical Market Specialist for Canon U.S.A. will cover a variety of topics including: About Rodney Charters: On April 1 2004 Rodney Charters was invited to become an Active Member of the American Society of Cinematographers. This invitation to the ASC is a great priviledge and honour, as well as a prestigious hallmark in his career as a cinematographer. As a self taught Mac guru, Rodney has embraced the remarkable changes taking place in the technological side of how movies are made. Working on some of the very first morphs to make it to the big screen with VFX Supervisor Jeff Okun on the the picture "Sleepwalkers" he learned to transform humans into cats and Chevy's into Fords. It wasn’t until 2001, when a radical idea to shoot a show based in real time was conceived, that Rodney was tapped to shoot the hugely successful primetime drama 24 starring Kiefer Sutherland. It was Rodney’s keen understanding of documentary filmmaking that was needed to create the intense realism of 24 never before seen on a network primetime series. In the years to follow, Rodney would become an Active Member of the American Society of Cinematographers, be nominated twice for an Emmy for Outstanding Cinematography, and become thego-to guy for the latest in camera and Apple technology. In 2008, Kodak Canada presented Rodney with the New Century Award for his services to the art of Cinematography. AGENDA: Seminar will be held at 2:00PM only. WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All video pros, filmmakers, HDSLR shooters, students, motion graphics/VFX artists. INSTRUCTOR(S): Rodney Charters and Paul McAniff DURATION: Two Hours
